Following your dreams takes courage and dedication. Sometimes people have the tendency to think or hope everything will just unfold right before their eyes without ever having to put work or effort into creating the changes they desire. However, this is not the case. As many of you know, you are the co-creators of your own destiny. But what many tend to forget from time to time is that if you are the one co-creating your reality, you also have to be the one taking some of the steps to actually move your dreams into being.
It is like this beautiful dance with the divine. First you make your move and put energy behind your intentions. Then the universe responds and brings like energy and opportunities into your reality. Followed by your move again. Each individual has to respond to their own situation, take the next navigated leap of faith, and once again the universe reciprocates by bringing forward the answers to what you have been seeking or the changes you have been pursuing. Slowly but surely you keep moving forward until your dreams become your actual reality. By following the signposts and guidance along the way you are able to catch up to those dreams of infinite possibilities. And the good news: the better you get at trusting the process the faster your destiny will unfold.
The trick is to always follow your heart no matter what life presents and to know without a doubt that you deserve to experience your deepest desires. Truthfully your heart is the best navigational system you have while here on earth. It is like a GPS for your soul. If you look deep enough into your heart you can identify what it is you truly aspire to and then follow your guidance and intuition to help get you there. By also staying focused on the feeling rather than the outcome, you provide room for the divine to add its inspiration and infinite wisdom. And when that inspiration comes and guidance continues to be provided, take that leap of faith. Even if you are scared, it is important to understand that change does not necessarily happen when you are in your comfort zone or it would not be called change!
The question that has been coming up in my mind lately is how far are you willing to go? If you are following your dreams and creating the soul path you truly desire, when do you stop? Does it ever get to the point that you question whether you will ever reach your goals? Do you ever start to wonder if you have achieved enough or if you should aspire for more? Or do you ever get to the point when you start to second-guess your choices and begin to settle for the familiar?
The answer is most definitely yes. All the time! Even those with the strongest of faith will have to pull over from time to time and re-assess the situation. Take inventory of those dreams again and again, asking your soul for further directions. Check in to see if anything has changed with your desires since you first began to map out this adventure. Take a closer look at the experiences, thoughts and outcomes that have come up since you started this journey and then and only then, decide which direction you will continue to grow towards.
This does not mean giving up on your dreams. This means fine-tuning them along the way as experiences and situations provide you with more and more insights and direction. And regardless of what your outside circumstances may be, it also means continuing to follow your heart. Never giving up simply because logic gets in the way and starts questioning your heart’s desires.
To quote a dear friend of mine, “you have to keep ignoring the logical mind and instead follow the illogical heart until you get to the point that it only makes logical sense to follow what appears to be illogical to the untrained eye as to the ways of this world.”
So, in this respect and to answer the question to this article, how far are you willing to go? For myself it is to the ends of the earth and back. To stop following my heart would be more heartbreaking than anything life can throw along my path as a detour or side step. To stop chasing my dreams would be truly devastating to my soul. In that respect, as long as I stay true to my heart there are no limits to how far I would go to follow my dreams. I would jump on a plane at the last minute to attend a workshop that is calling out to me. I would proactively make changes to my surroundings expecting change to occur before the change actually arrives in the physical reality. And I would certainly continue to focus my attention, heart and soul on my inner calling. For me, it is truly the only way to live.
If you have yet to achieve your dreams, take a close look to see what limits you may have put on yourself for achieving them. Then double check with your heart to see where it is pointed, and ask your guides to help navigate you to your destiny – all the way to the ends of the earth and back.
I’ll see you there 😉
