We as a species are evolving and stepping into a new era of inner development and expansion. More and more people are starting to become connected to the spiritual world. More individuals are experiencing and expressing their divine moments with the other side. More people are opening up to their intuitive senses and moving into what was once dubbed the unknown to many. Belief systems are changing. Awareness is expanding, and people are becoming more and more sensitive to energy. Spiritual awareness is becoming a fact of life well beyond what many have ever experienced before.

From an energetic perspective, I see more people every day that have their third eye and crown chakras open. I see people learning and engaging in conversations with their guides and angels. I see dreams becoming more vivid, experiences becoming more pronounced, manifesting amplified, and confirmations being received on a continual basis proving over and over again that we are not alone. These are truly exciting times.

What I have also noticed is that people are naturally bringing more and more of their soul energy into this physical world. In the past many people may have walked through life with little to know awareness of their higher self and the bigger perspective of life, where as now I am finding many are becoming more balanced in all areas – body, mind and soul.  Kind of like when they say we use only 10% of our brain capacity; from my perspective many of us only utilized 10% of our soul capacity as well – up until more recently that is. However, what I view happening to people as they continue to evolve includes bringing more and more of their entire soul energy into the picture. Think of it like pulling information and knowledge from past lives, divine light and connection to all that is into the present moment and physical world.

With this change there are also emotional changes going on. I find the more open to spirit we become, the more energy from our higher self that we harness. The more energy from our higher self that we harness, the bigger our emotional reactions to people, places and things become. Say what?! That doesn’t sound too spiritual…or does it? Think about this for a minute. If we are bringing more of our energy into this thing we call life, then our reactions, experiences, and connections must become bigger as well. Makes sense actually. The thing is, as we are having these huge emotional reactions, don’t judge them or feel bad about your response. Just make a mental note of what topic is hot for you and strive to understand why.

It is not just our emotional reactions that are getting bigger. I find sometimes our direction in life is also becoming confused and a little unclear. Again, this has to do with the soul energy shift. Think of it like an upgrade from the 1.0 version of you to the 7.0 version and learning to navigate a whole new system. What does that look like? Well, some days it may seem like a glitch to our system, but truly we are just integrating towards a new way of being. Some times we are motivated to do nothing, our direction is unclear and our desires are changing at a rapid pace. Then the next day (or hour, or minute) it is like clarity moves in, a force takes over and we jump right in to make a change. This weird back and forth motion is because we are switching from a personality driven existence to a more soulful one. And here is the kicker, more often than not, we don’t actually know or understand what our soul wants yet – but that does not stop it from pulling us around, guiding us here, and inspiring us there.

I find the best way to handle this confusion and new soulful drive is to set your intention on some of your bigger picture aspirations, and then just completely surrender to the flow of your higher self. This is a balancing game that does need some adjustments of getting used to. Why? Because some of us used to go through life by just surrendering to the flow ALWAYS. Not putting to much thought into where we want to go or the type of life we want to lead and just letting the universe decide for us. However, that is technique is no longer working quite as well as it used to because our soul is wanting us to add our own input and set our sights on some of our hopes and aspirations.

On the flip side, some people have spent their entire life fully in control and navigating every single move they ever made. I find this is no longer working either, because by letting your personality run the show, you have eliminated the desires and bigger picture direction coming from your soul. The solution: change your perspective.

This is not an Intentions versus Complete Surrender thing. It involves setting intentions and then embracing and surrendering to the flow of your soul to help get you there. Bottom line, your personality does have opinions and they are important. However, what you are beginning to realize is that your soul also has a plan that is even bigger and better than you ever imagined. Combining them gives you the best of both worlds. My advice, take it easy on yourself as you learn to navigate and expand this new energy and state of awareness. It is going to be quite an exciting ride!
