(This article was originally posted in the December 2014 newsletter. I am re-posting it this year for two reasons. First of all, I think the topic is even more relevant this year then the previous and warrants repeating. Secondly, unlike last year, I am actually behind on getting ready for the holiday season and so to ‘copy and paste’ an article is what works best for my schedule this year. lol. I hope you still enjoy the read or moment down memory lane.)

This is the first year in virtually forever that my family has jumped into the Christmas spirit way ahead of schedule. The tree has been up since the 1st week in November, seasonable baking has been done and tucked away ready for our guests to arrive, lights are up, shopping done, and the joyful feelings of the season securely in place. Check. Check. And check.

When I started to think back about this strange oddity occurring at my house I realized I have personally felt, celebrated and honored the Christmas season many times throughout the year. True story.

Energetically there have been many pivotal moments already this year that lead me to think and believe we are in the true Christmas spirit. Obviously if I were to look at the traditional calendar, that was not the actual case. There were no physical reasons for me to think about Christmas cheer in the middle of the summer or feel the anticipation of this holiday even before Halloween had arrived. However, the feeling of Christmas is here, and for me, more times in one year then it has ever been before. These strange occurrences lead me to ponder: why have I energetically felt Christmas more lately? What is different about this traditional time of year that would lead me to remember and resonate with it even in the middle of summer? And why can’t we feel this light and cheerful all year long? Yup, these are definitely some big questions I have been pondering!! Here is what I have concluded so far.

First off, there is a distinct energetic vibration around the Christmas season that is lighter, happier, and even more joyful than traditionally found any other time of the year. It is an energetic pattern of society that can actually be felt. Despite the hustle and bustle, the stress that seems to abound or all the extra activities that come with this season, the holidays have a notable and distinct feel to them. There is true excitement in the air. Anticipation. Love. Understand. Peace and good will. Even when confronted with angry shoppers, overbooked schedules or visits with the in-laws, there is still an overwhelming sense of love and well-being that surrounds this holiday no matter what your religious upbringing.

Ok, so this holiday has traditionally felt different, so why have I felt the joy of this season clearly out of season? Well my friends, the world is changing. It may seem slow. Sometimes even unnoticed. But energetically you can feel the differences occurring all over the world. People are starting to live from a place of joy. People are changing the way they choose to be in this world. With this change, the energetic footprint of the entire world is becoming altered. Overall, the energy is moving away from darkness and into a lighter view of all things. Many of us have heard and talked about this change for many years already. But, have you truly stopped to actually feel the beautiful transition we are currently in? What used to be energetically identifiable only in one unique holiday season is now beginning to surface throughout the year. This joyful, lighter feeling has started to permeate the air all year round. And wow, does it feel good.

Wait a minute Lauren. If you are saying the feeling of Christmas is now moving to a year round event, does that mean we are forgetting the true meaning of Christmas? On the contrary my dear friends, I thoroughly believe the true meaning of Christmas is finally being embraced. Because, although the standard version of the Christmas story may center around a savior being born, the spiritual version of this season is slightly different. It marks a time when a change maker was born. Someone who came into this world to bring more light, awareness, and knowledge to the masses regarding our own personal abilities and divine spark within us all. This same message is currently coming to the forefront through many people. May I even be so bold as to point out many saviors are currently being born/reborn everyday. More and more people are standing in their own loving power of being a part of source energy. More and more people are starting to be the change they want to see in this world. More and more people are being the light and surrounding the true Christmas story into each and everyday. You know who you are. Well done my friends. Well done.

Please consider this change in energy your personal memo from the universe: these times, they are a changing. ‘Tis the season to make the Christmas season a daily event. ‘Tis the season to stand in love, understanding, compassion and hope – always. ‘Tis the season to take Christ Consciousness to the Masses (I think I’ll coin it Christmass).
