I must admit, I am forever grateful the year 2016 has finally drawn to a close. On a personal level, it was a turbulent year of outer challenges and inner reflections that extended well beyond what I ever expected to endure. Thankfully, I made it through the challenges and resurfaced even stronger. I utilized the time to also work on my second book which is currently at the publisher. And from a personal standpoint, I utilized the struggles to gain more faith and conviction in knowing and expanding my own awareness. Never the less, I am still ever so grateful to put the year 2016 behind me and usher in a new era of change.
As an intuitive, I must also confess that I am thankful beyond comprehension that I did not always know what was right around the corner. I realize part of my life’s work involves psychic development and healing energies to help others see the bigger picture and confidentially move towards manifesting positive change in this world. I greatly appreciate and understand that sometimes, having this birds eye view of our life path is profoundly needed. However, when it comes to unexpected life changes or challenges, being completely oblivious to those events ahead of time is sometimes blissfully needed. In truth, it helps us cope. Make no mistake, your soul sees the changes coming even if your mind has yet to accept or perceive those changes. The unknown on a conscious level is used to reduce the stress level until it is needed to be addressed or until you have the strength to stand in the changes on the horizon.
I find we always wish we could see the future. We always strive to understand what is yet to come, and work to manifest the best potential outcome. In truth, sometimes it is often better to just deal with the present. Live in the now. Take one step at a time, adjusting as we go to the ebbs and flows and divine timing of all things. Embrace all experiences life has to offer no matter how unprepared you may feel. Honestly, if someone had given me a snapshot of what 2016 would look like before I took the steps to move through it, there is a very good possibility I would still be curled up in a fetal-positioned time warp back to January 2016.
As much as I appreciate a little heads up to the changes occurring in my life, in hindsight, it was not the element of knowing the outcome that got me through the past year, nor was it the hints of huge changes on my horizon that powered me through. It was my faith and connection to spirit that helped ride those waves of change as they came crashing towards me. Sometimes faith is all we have. Often times, faith is all we will ever need. That is how life works really. It is faith in a better outcome that helps keep an even keel and evolves us forward. It is the light in our hearts that guides us through.
When we stand fully in who we are, we are able to handle anything life throws our way. This can be done by holding the intention to bring in your divine essence and believing in your connection to ALL THAT IS. From this empowered perspective, dark times hold no influence on you. Light always prevails.
Every day has the potential to offer new realities. However, the New Year is like a huge signpost on the road of life giving us full permission to free ourselves from the past and move forward with new convictions, strength and courage. I look forward to what 2017 has to offer. I am also excited to embrace what I have to offer the year 2017. I hold the intentions for positive changes for all humanity and adamantly declare that no matter what life throws our way, collectively we’ve got this. In fact, the trials and tribulations only strengthen our resolve to rise to the occasion in all ways.
In light of the tribulations of 2016, I scream to the universe – is that all you’ve got? And to the year 2017, I boldly shout – Bring It, I am ready.
Are you?
Namaste,
Lauren
