Inner Calm within the Storm

Managing your own energy field in a time when the world is in crisis mode can certainly be a challenge. So many of us feel the intensity to such a degree that it feels overwhelming and stifling to move forward. However, there are ways to keep your own body, mind and soul at ease and within a state of balance regardless of what is happening in and around you.

Listen to your own inner voice. There is so much on both the internal and external communication waves right now, that many are feeling the brunt of the changes at hand. Take the time to truly listen to your own inner voice and remember that your soul is quite capable of navigating you through this point in time. In fact, your soul has navigated your own life path moment by moment, day by day, and year by year up to and including this very point in time. Regardless of the global upheaval in action, your soul is quite capable of managing your own unrest within it. Please remember that.

Ask yourself what you could be doing right now that would make your heart feel more in alignment with your soul. Whether you are in social distancing mode, a self-quarantined bubble or within the eye of the storm as so many front-line workers are right now, there is benefit to honouring this time and coming back into alignment with you. For myself, it is writing. In fact, I can notice a huge shift in my energy field coming back to centre the very moment I put pen to paper. No matter where I am or what I am writing about, in my journal, working on my next book, or just making a to do list, writing generates a very effective alignment point for my soul. There are many. Working on a puzzle brings me calm. Pulling oracle cards provides reprieve from my own mind chatter; as does taking the time to just sit with a good cup of coffee and be in sincere gratitude for my life and those around me.

Secondly, take the time to remove external voices from your own inner world. This can come in the form of loved ones who are worried about you. It can come for family members or co-workers who have strong opinions pertaining to your own path and well-being. It can even come from the outer world as fears rise and people scramble to hunker in and weather this storm. Of course, their worries and concerns are valid, the global scenario is at an all-time change point. However, that does not mean that the energy of fear, worry, or concern needs to be in your energy field vying for your attention. Instead, strive to clear them out of your mind just like you would the cookies on your internet browser. In fact, a few times a day, take the time to unplug from the collective purely by thought and intention to bring yourself back home to you. By doing so, you are recognizing and believing in the beautiful light force held within. You are also believing in the unfoldment of all things.

Thirdly, take the time to chase down and tune into the energy within your body. I find that even in our more typical cold and flu seasons, it is very effective to check into each body part where you feel unrest seeping in and learn to talk to your body by addressing the incoming energy. If you feel the sniffles coming on, ask yourself where this inner unrest or lack of confidence stems from. If you throat begins to tighten, give it the chance to voice its own concerns even if that is just silently communicated to yourself. If your lungs feel heavy, take a moment to breathe through the changes and take the pressure of the world off your own being. As much as we are all in this together, energetically each person only holds the responsibility to navigate and manage their own energetic field. As you talk to each body part, listen to and be open to what surfaces. I find our bodies are the perfect blueprint for understanding our inner mind. Whether under duress and dis-ease or even in a virus situation that spreads outwardly within communities and the world, there is still a personal message beneath the surface if and when it enters your own auric space. Addressing your inner emotions is key to moving your energy back into alignment. It does not mean you need to know all the answers. It means you should listen to your body, which essentially is working to guide you more solidly onto your own life path. Creating a self dialogue to address your emotions and concerns will bring peace of mind, even if you have to repeat the process a few times each day. Then try to let go of all worries, allowing your higher self and the Powers that Be to navigate you through these times.

Next, be sure to find ways to increase your vibration. This comes primarily from doing things that bring you joy while staying in a heart-centred vibration. Even with limited resources and movement, take the time to find simple ways to lift your heart. Perhaps baking, an online course, watching a movie, listening to music or talking to a friend on the phone; there are many ways to lift yourself out of the fear zone. Stay heart-centred always. Easier said then done sometimes I realize, but heart-centred living is always the higher vibration which will subsequently keep your energy field more clear. How do you stay heart-centred? Just try to be cognizant of how you are affecting both yourself and all others, always striving for a balance in all things. In other words, learn to ensure you own energy field is managed without causing unnecessary discord or pushing the boundaries of another.

Lastly try to stay within an empowered state. It can be difficult to feel empowered when your options and choices for daily living are being minimized for the safety of yourself and all others, but what a perfect example for our society to get back to heart-centred living. Remind yourself that you are making a choice here; a choice for the greater good of humanity. Priorities are also key to staying empowered. By identifying key priorities, like keeping yourself and those around you safe, you are once again coming from a more empowered perspective. This too, will help navigate the days ahead and keep your energy field balanced while you settle down, settle in, and trust in the process.

One more thing….repeat after me:

Dear Soul Potential (in myself and all others),

I see and believe in you.

Thank you for seeing and believing in me.

Take care out there,
