Uncharted Territory

To the teachers, students and families who have bravely embarked on the journey of this past year, thank you and congratulations. You should be so very proud. We have definitely been working within uncharted territory, but each and every one of you dug deep and found viable solutions to get us through this first year of inner and outer global transformation. Thank you for all of your efforts and commitment.

To all the families who have been socially distancing, rolling up your sleeves, masking up and/or dedicating this past year to finding new ways of working together and co-existing in our world, well done. Your efforts are both commended and appreciated.

To all the staff and front-line workers who have tirelessly put in extra hours and effort during such rocky times, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even though we are not yet finished with this global pandemic, the strides that have been made to curtail the initial impact are quite profound.

And lastly, to all the families who have lost loved ones from COVID-19 (or even more senselessly through the barbaric history of our residential school systems as well as all other culturally inappropriate imbalances finally rising to the surface to be healed), I send you love, compassion and inner strength. As it turns out, we have been fighting against a bigger global pandemic for much longer then anyone cares to admit. This particular pandemic however stems from the self righteous, boundary pushing behaviors of those who feel superior or more worthy than all others. Although there is no vaccine strong enough or distance wide enough to combat this type of behavior, I am hopeful that global awareness, acceptance, healing and reconciliation will prevail. In fact, I hold a lot of hope and peace in my heart today in terms of our overall global healing.

It makes me wonder if that is how someone feels just before naturally transitioning from this world into the next. With a clear understanding of all that has been. A distinct conscious awareness of all that is. And yet an undeniable surrender to the new beginnings yet to come. Within those sands of time there is complete clarity, knowing, and acceptance of destiny unfolding somewhere between the unfamiliar, yet oddly familiar terrain embedded deep within our individually unique yet vastly interconnected collective soul.

There are infinite moments along the path of life when we need to make brave decisions, steer our ship, and travel towards the unknown with both courage and faith in the final destination, even when that destination is unclear, negatively influenced by others or well beyond the horizon. But there are also equal amounts of time when we need to just be in the flow of our current existence. In these mystical moments of surreal cosmic proportions, no trailblazing, voice finding, truth seeking, or divine guidance are even required. Just true acceptance as we consciously watch the unfoldment of divine timing and synchronistic milestone moments forever etched within the stars.

I think that sometimes we forget about this aspect of the co-creation process. The part where we have already set sail, charted our course, and navigated through many rough waters and open seas, but have yet to fully arrive at our targeted destination. It is within these moments and regardless of whether our end point is within sight, that we must once again surrender to and believe in the course already in motion.

That is where I find myself today. Consciously accepting of both past and future uncharted territories yet to be revealed but with full faith in the bigger picture and divine plan already in motion. In fact, I think the entire world is poised for the same shift from old to new. A fresh new beginning of much needed change beyond the old map we have been blinding navigating within for thousands of years. A monumental shift that demands and ensures truths will rise to the surface, wrongs will be righted, and new pathways will be forged towards a universal responsibility and accountability to create change.

As the world prepares to open up to the new changes before us, I offer you peace of mind and faith in the collective process. Regardless of where your insecurities may take you, what the world currently looks like, how much of our shared collective history is rising to the surface to be healed, or the larger ramblings of fear-based doctrines still echoing throughout the halls of time, the truth is that when over 51% of the world’s population have already consciously made individual and independent choices geared towards the collective good, the outcome and vibration will always be a surge of empowerment and positive movement forward on a global scale. A state of being that is unprecedented in our shared world history. It means we are starting to globally work together to create positive change, independently taking responsibility and accountability for the bigger picture. And it is within this exact landscape that we set sail towards new, exciting, and uncharted territory.

This is your captain speaking. I ask that you sit up and take notice of the expanded view from our current vantage point. We have been awaiting the arrival of this time for millennia. Regardless of whether there is still much individual and collective healing required, there is also much comfort in knowing the divine plan is already underway. And yes, we are each individually and uniquely a part of that greater plan. And yes, we are more than capable of arriving at our individual and collective destinations.

Love and Blessings Always,

Lauren Heistad
